Send May Fayre

Tracy had organized a stand at Send May Fayre today. She had lots of friends bake cakes, and also had contacted a load of local companies to donate prizes for a raffle. Part of the attraction (not sure if that is the right word...) was that Paul & I had to spend all afternoon on the turbos in front of the stand.
I have to say that the stand looked great. The 4 hour turbo session went by pretty quickly because there was always something going on or someone to chat to.
We didn't go that quickly, but then it was quite hot, and we needed to be able to talk to people. Hence we kept our heart rates at 130-140 for 4 hours. I dont think we sweated too much. We did around 45 miles according to the Garmin - although I doubt it's accuracy on a static turbo.
At the end of the day, we had raised over £300 - well done Tracy!!! And of course Paul & I both completed our longest turbo session!

When I visit my blog I regularly visit others via the "next blog" link. I found yours that way.

It seems that in the photo you are proving that your bicycles are uncomfortable. You should both buy recumbent bicycles. They put riders into a natural sitting position and allow for all day comfortable riding. At the end of the day you will be tired but your backsides; wrists, and necks won't be aching.

You should visit my blog because it could save many children from needing a hospice. Go to DoNotDieYet.blogspot.com. Listen to the audios, download the PDFs and movie, and read all the testimonials. You might save some lives.

Thankyou for your interest in our ride. I'm not quite sure why you think our bikes are uncomfortable. They were a few months ago, but this is because we had not cycled for several years. We're just about used to them again now. I'm not sure I'd feel safe on a recumbent for the miles we had to do in traffic - especially the uphills!

I took a look at your blog and associated website and am very pleased to learn you are "finanicially free". Hopefully this means you will have some spare money to sponsor our cause.

Sadly my son had a genetic condition from birth, so I fail to see how your products would have helped him? Too late in any case as he died in October last year, but we were greatly supported by the hospice which is why we're inspired to do all this training.
